How to wash the iron from yellowness. Home ways

Experts from experts to the user for cleaning the sole of the iron

No matter how great the iron is, it still needs to care.h. In regular cleaning of the sole. It is on it that so often forms. He can spoil his clothes and poorly affect the quality of the work of the iron itself.

But do not panic and immediately think about buying a new device, because we will now tell you how easy it is to get rid of the haunt.

We have prepared the best selection of recipes that will help to effectively clean the sole of the iron.

Material of the sole

la started let’s talk about what material the sole of your iron can be made of. It depends on the material with what recipes you can clean the sole of the iron at home.

And which can not be used, t.to. They can harm the device.

Manufacturers choose the following materials:

  • Aluminum. Perhaps one of the popular materials, t.to. It belongs to the category of budgetary. Also aluminum also conducts heat well, light, but it cannot be said that durable and reliable. For example, an aluminum sole can leave a hole on a T.shirt if you do not configure the temperature. But you can’t iron the wool at all.
  • Stainless steel. The iron will cost more, but its quality is better. The sole heats up evenly, which minimizes the ability to spoil the fabric. Stainless stainless steel is not afraid of rust and damage. Therefore, you can safely choose even gross cleaning of the iron from the threshold on the sole.
  • Ceramics. Differs with light sliding, removes the folds well and heats up evenly. Also, threads, fibers are not collected on the sole, and there are no puffs left on the clothes.
  • Teflon. Good iron for delicate things. But you need to treat it carefully, t.to. scratches may appear on the surface, and Teflon itself is erased faster than other. material.

All recipes that we will talk about below are suitable for cleaning the ceramic sole of the iron.

But to clean the sole of the iron with a Teflon coating, pay attention to only two ways:

Stainless steel sole

Particularly durable material resistant to external exposure. Films made of stainless steel can be cleaned using light abrasive products: soda, toothpaste or powder, special pencil, but citric acid and vinegar do a good job of pollution.

If the Fresh Nar is easily removed with a wooden shoulder blade, but do not use metal objects like a knife. scratch the surface.

Aluminum soles

Aluminum. material characterized by low cost, good thermal conductivity, low weight, but easily scratches and deforms. The appearance of microcracks helps to reduce the quality of ironing, cracks are clogged with dirt. it is difficult to clean them.to. the use of cleaners with an abrasive and brushes is strictly prohibited.

Manufacturers taking into account this metal feature apply various coatings to increase resistance.

Tip how to clean the aluminum sole of the iron: use toothpaste without abrasive particles, vinegar, detergent for dishes. After cleaning, polish the surface with a small piece of fabric made of natural wool. this will smooth out all the invisible roughnesses and will not let the surface get very dirty when using.

Effective means for cleaning the sole of the iron from soot and stains

In the process of using the iron on the sole of the iron, so.pastry spots appear, which spoil clothes and reduce the service life of the device. Using a steamed device, you can see that clothes are sticking to it. Proven home recipes will help to cope with this misfortune. Each woman has its own effective method. Let us consider in detail what options for cleaning the surface of the iron exist.

Special pencil

The most convenient method to win the emerging burning is a special cleaning pencil. It can be purchased at any business store or specialized department. It is economically consumed and intended just to solve this problem. The steak will be able to clean any plate from the black carbon on: ceramic, Teflon and metal.

Pencil is able to remove perfect synthetics, for example, a synthetic carpet. If the heated device fell by accident during ironing on the carpet, the miracle-style will eliminate traces of burnt matter. In this convenient way, just processes a burnt platform and make the iron slide better.

You need to start working with a special pencil like this: warm the electrical appliance, draw on it. Wipe the molten film with a moisturized natural cloth. At the last stage of cleaning, if the iron is steam, it is necessary to release hot steam to release the channels. It is better to carry out such cleaning, laying paper for equipment so that the draining drops do not stain anything. After such a manipulation, a dirty iron sparses like a brand new.

Dining vinegar

Ordinary dining vinegar is another proven tool that relieves troubles with the working surface of the device. The principle of operation is the same as in a solution of citric acid.

When using vinegar, you need to remember the elementary safety rules. Vinegar can be used in two ways:

  • Vine vinegar with water should be diluted in a proportion of 1: 1. Let stand on the on the highest temperature for about 15 minutes. Then the steam supply button to free up special holes from contamination and drain the remaining fluids.
  • Wipe the cold surface of the steam generator with a swab moistened with vinegar. This method will take a little time.

Baking soda or salt

You can clean the burnt bottom using baking soda, as well as salt. Such home remedies should be used with caution, since not every ironing apparatus endures abrasive.

To use the fine table salt to clean the old, steamed iron, you need to cover the ironing board with clean paper and sprinkle it with salt. Warm iron need to iron paper with substance until the dirt gets off the sole.

The option with food soda is also convenient and will show a good result. It is necessary to mix 1 t. l. soda and very little water. Pour the resulting gruel in the canvas of a cooled device. It will take about 20 minutes to start working, after which rinse with a damp cloth and remove the remnants of the substance. Spots and burning will disappear, and the iron is again like a brand new. However, the use of these products is unacceptable for Teflon coatings.

Soap solution

To remove dirt from the sole of the iron, a simple and safe tool is suitable. soap solution. True, it will help only in the case of a fresh hazard. The solution will relieve blackness on the device without scratching its mirror.

  • rub the heated surface of the apparatus with household soap;
  • We are waiting for the iron to cool;
  • Wet the cotton tissue in the soap solution and iron it;
  • We use a cotton swab or a toothpick to clean the holes.

Other means

At home to clean the iron will also help such means as:

  • Hydrogen peroxide will help get rid of minor pollution. Having moisten a cotton ball in a solution of peroxide, carefully wipe the bottom.
  • The paraffin candle will remove unpleasant spots, and also reduce scratches on the iron. The sequence of actions is the same as when using soap. The remains of paraffin in holes will need to be removed by turning on the function of steaming at full power.
  • Ammonia, which is often found in first.aid kits, can remove outlined pollution. It is enough to rub the surface of the iron for them.
  • Toothpaste is another useful “life hack”. An old denture should be cleaned with a paste polluted coating, then rinse with water and pass steam. The method cannot be used on Teflon coatings.
  • Acetone or liquid to relieve varnish, in which it is present, are easily removed traces of soot from synthetics and glue.

Nuances of cleaning certain types of coatings

In modern stores, sellers offer irons with several types of coatings, each of them is characterized by their own characteristics. Manufacturers offer ceramic, Teflon and metal (aluminum, steel, titanium) surfaces. When choosing the method of cleaning the sole of the device, some recommendations should be taken into account:

  • Teflon does not tolerate abrasive products (salt, soda, dry citric acid), but is not afraid of liquid acids and alkalis. When buying a cleaning pencil, pay attention to the appropriate marking.
  • Melceramics is also afraid of dry scratches. You can use a cleaning pencil or take in the kitchen a tool for caring for glass.ceramic slabs.
  • Aluminum reacts with citric acid, so it cannot be used. Unpretentious metal can be cleaned with the rest of the above means.
  • Stainless steel is resistant to damage. it will endure mechanical cleaning.
  • Titan. expensive modern material, is cleaned in any convenient way.

Modern steam generators with self.cleaning function are offered in the household appliances market. They are equipped with the “SelfClean” button. Such devices cannot be cleaned with improvised means so as not to damage the device. Cleaning should be carried out once a month (depending on the hardness of the water) according to the instructions from the manufacturer, only clean water is allowed to use.

What means can harm the coating of an iron

Now manufacturers produce equipment with various types of coating. stainless steel, ceramics, anti.stick based on Teflon.

Any surface will damage the following actions:

  • abrasives. which are included in the means for cleaning tiles or enameled surfaces. After use, cracks remain, and the device stops sliding along the fabric;
  • iron brushes. an abrasive version;
  • Aggressive acids and alkalis. ceramics and Teflon inert materials, under them metal surfaces. Cracks and aggressive substances penetrate into the internal structures of the device, cause corrosion. After a while, the device will have to be thrown away;
  • rinsing under running water. falls on the internal components of the device. Short circuit provided;
  • Paraffin. there is a chance that the product of oil refining in liquid form will get inside the device or remain in steaming holes.

Allowing handling is simple: to distract or set the wrong temperature on the regulator, and it is difficult to wash the sole!

Carefully read the shortcuts on the clothes, they indicate the iron temperature. Periodically wipe the iron with a clean cotton cloth. If you doubt the material, technique, the correctness of the temperature regime on the label. close the sole before ironing foil.

Folk methods of cleaning

Experienced housewives know exactly how to clean the iron on the sole, and advises to do this in the following verified methods:

  • Citric acid.
  • Toothpaste.
  • Soda.
  • Salt.
  • Vinegar.
  • Hydrogen peroxide.
  • Chalk or melamine sponge.
  • Household soap.
  • Paraffin.

It is worth mentioning right away that not all of the listed methods of cleaning from soot are suitable for modern electric irons. Choose a way to get rid of the carbon felts, taking into account the coating of the iron sole.

Our grandmothers had ordinary ironing devices, without a delicate Teflon coating that is afraid of scratches. Therefore, they cleaned the metal sole with abrasive substances (soda, salt), rubbed with hard brushes and got an excellent result.

How To Remove Plaque And Tartar From Teeth At Home Naturally? How To Clean Teeth At Home in Hindi?

So, we will consider only those folk remedies and life hacks that help to correctly cleanse the sole of burned fabric, polyethylene and will not allow the device to spoil the device. Let us dwell on each of them in detail.

Cleaning iron with melamine sponge

The advantage of this method is that the eraser does not scratch the surface, does not require additional cleaning products. In addition to an iron, you can wipe with a sponge a sponge from a saucepan, gas panels.

But people with allergies should use it very carefully, since Melanin is the material from which the sponge is made is toxic.

Large salt

We do not advise this method if you have a model with a Teflon coating. If you have an old grandmother’s iron, then the method will suit.

It is easy to clean the sole of the carbon felted large sodium salt. It must be poured on gauze or a small piece of fabric. Turn the iron on the network. Spend several times with a hot sole on salt, slightly pressing on the device.

If severe pollution has formed, repeat the cleaning process. Freight leaves quickly, but on the surface, especially with Teflon coating, small scratches can remain. Therefore, it is often impossible to use chopping sodium salt.

Food soda

Soda is a safe, non.toxic tool, so it is used as an improvised tool for cleaning, purification of surfaces. For iron it does not pose a danger, since soda particles are very small and cannot significantly damage the delicate ceramic or aluminum coating.

There are several ways to cleanse the sole of the iron from soot baking soda:

The method is suitable for those cases when you need to wash the burnt bottom of the iron from adhering fabric, if you burned synthetics. It is necessary to mix both ingredients in equal proportions, apply to the heated surface of the device. Rub the sole with a toothbrush, a piece of fabric or a sponge for 2-3 minutes. Next, remove the remnants of the cleaner with a wet cloth.

Toothpaste can clog in the holes on the sole, so take a steam iron in a piece of unnecessary fabric before ironing things. This method is ideal for aluminum, ceramic surfaces.

2 h.l. Mix soda with 5 drops of vinegar essence. It turns out a thick solution. Apply it to the warm sole of the iron with a cloth, leave it for a couple of minutes. If adhered dirt remains on it, increase the exposure time to 10 minutes. Then remove the remedy for pure gauze. This method is suitable for cleaning any surface.

You need to dissolve 5 hours.l. Soda in water. Then moisten a rag in the resulting liquid and trite dirty places until shine. The process is long and difficult, but the result will be 100%.

On a note! Seamsters often face the. It is especially difficult to get rid of the remainder of the oak.up from the iron (from adhesive web). In this case, it is better to resort to special means or wipe the bottom with a pencil.

Other methods

If you need to clean the sole of the iron from polyethylene, you need to pay attention to the method using acetone or fluid to relieve varnish. Remove the remains of molten plastic, a burnt tulle, you can like this:

  • Moisten a cotton wool or a piece of gauze in acetone.
  • Wipe the bottom of the iron, it should be cold.
  • Когда остатки пластика отойдут от поверхности, насухо протрите подошву.

In the same way, you can clean the iron from burned fabric, especially synthetics, paints, glue.

If the smell and evaporation of acetone is scared, use another cleaning method: dilute citric acid with water. Apply the solution to the iron platform, wipe the burner with a cloth. But the method is not very effective, usually only part of the pollution is removed.

On a note! If, after using folk methods and store products to clean the surface from soot, the iron sticks to the fabric, then you poorly removed the remnants of pasta, soda, salt from the sole. Disconnect the device, cool and rinse thoroughly again with a wet cloth. Or use the self.cleaning mode so that the product comes out of the openings for steam.

Special tools for cleaning the iron

Special tools that are sold in household stores also help get rid of the old carbon on the lower part of the irons. Using it is easy. They are no less effective than improvised means. Here are the most popular of them:

Cleaning liquid

A variety of liquid products to remove black from the steamed bottom of the iron amazes. This is a DR cleaner. Beckmann, Synergetic, Freshbubble spray and others.

Their composition and properties are approximately the same. Cleaners act well on old soot and soot, remove the blackness quickly and efficiently.

If the car is left, repeat the procedure again.

Pencil for cleaning the iron

Outwardly, it looks like a candle of paraffin, but white, with a pleasant smell, if the manufacturer has added a fragrance. The pencil includes organic acids and urea. You can buy a cleaning remedy in a hardware store, household appliances, order via the Internet. Pencil for cleaning the iron looks like this:

  • Open the window in the room so that fresh air enters the room. When using a pencil, a strong and pungent smell stands out.
  • Prepare the workplace. Lay on the ironing board unnecessary matter, under it a small piece of foil.
  • Heat the iron to maximum temperatures. Then turn off the device from the network.
  • Take a pencil and spend them on a steamed bottom. But touch only outside, try not to touch the pen and plastic details.
  • Когда паста начнет пришквариваться, кипеть, проведите утюгом по ткани, чтобы убрать средство вместе с нагаром с поверхности прибора.
  • The bottom was cooled down, now wipe it with a damp cloth. Peel the holes for the steam with ear sticks.

Manufacturers say that using a pencil from the sole of the iron, you can remove the burnt synthetic fabric, the remnants of the polymer, if a plastic bag accidentally melted on it. The main thing is that it acts safely, without damaging the surface, it is impossible to scratch the Teflon coating with it. Therefore, many housewives, despite the unpleasant odor, consider pencils the most effective means.

On a note! If the iron does not turn on after cleaning, stopped working, you can correct the situation by dismantling the device and cleaning its contacts. Most often the problem occurs after using salt or soda. Substances oxidize electrical contacts, disabled them. Repair produced in the service center.

Causes of pollution: how to clean the iron

There are several main reasons why the sole of the iron is unsuitable for further use:

  • Washing in low.quality water or rusty using potent means for cleansing, bleaching and air conditioning. The use of hard water and aggressive chemicals for washing the release of these substances from the processed fabric under the influence of temperature, settling them in the form of spots and the formation of soot with subsequent heating of the sole.
  • Household device malfunction and incorrectly selected mode. The main cause of fabric to sole is the mismatch of the temperature of the heating of the sole and the properties of the smoothed fabric. This may be due to a malfunction of a thermal attemptor or heating element. But most often, the situation of inconsistency of the properties of the fabric and the mode of operation of the iron is caused by frivolity and the wrong choice.

Synthetic fabrics adhere to the sole mainly, which must be treated at low temperature through wet cotton fabric or special nozzle on the sole.

If you carefully comply with the recommended conditions of ironing and monitor the state of the iron, the question is how to clear the iron from burned fabric does not even arise.

Methods of cleaning the smooth sole at home

With the help of improvised means that are in the arsenal of every housewife, you can quickly and effectively eliminate pollution from the sole of the iron. The most successful ways to do this are presented below.

Salt cleansing

Salt works well against soapy divorces, traces of rusty water and fresh rusty plaque. To clean the salt, use the dry calcination method and the salt pasta method. For dry salt pumping, pour salt on paper or unnecessary towel and smooth out. Turn on the iron and, having waited for heating the sole, carry out the sole along the salt, without pressing much, until the pollution disappears completely. If the salt is darkened, and the pollution is not completely eliminated, replace the salt and continue to clean.

To prepare saline pasta, mix salt with water in a ratio of 2: 1. Pick a little pasta on cotton fabric and wipe the sole until completely cleaned. You can also turn the iron with a contaminated sole up, moisten and sprinkle with salt, and then wipe it with a damp piece of fabric. After processing, be sure to wipe with a dry cotton cloth.

Toothpaste

Famous cleaning properties of toothpaste and tooth powder can also be used to eliminate the consequences of soil on the sole. To do this, slightly heat the sole and apply a little pasta or moistened powder on it and rub the fabric into a looking surface. For stronger contaminants, you can use an old toothbrush with soft bristles. At the end, remove the rest of the pasta with a dry cloth and wipe the sole with a flannel cloth.

Using soda

Bicarbonate (bicarbonate) of sodium helps to get rid of soap coating and old.aged soot on metal surfaces. To do this, you can cook soda paste or aqueous solution of soda. To make pasta, mix a tablespoon of soda with a half teaspoon of water.

Then, using clean cotton fabric with rubbing movements, apply paste to the place of pollution. Then rinse and wipe the remains with the flannel carefully. The soda solution is prepared, diluting a tablespoon of soda in half a glass of clean water. The resulting composition is processed soap stains and traces of rusty water.

Cleansing by paraffin

Save or grate the paraffin candle on a sheet of paper. Mix paraffin crumbs with salt and flatter on the surface of the sheet. Cover with a dense cotton cloth. Heat the sole and slowly “iron” the fabric, applying it to the fabric for a second or two. If you hold longer, the fabric sticks to the sole and brings you. Due to heating, paraffin will melt and dissolve the cargo that absorbs the fabric. As the napkin is contaminated, you should change the napkin, and at the end of cleaning, wipe the sole with a dry flannel cloth.

Laundry soap fights well with the so.appeared culings and spots. Grate a piece of laundry soap, heat the look of the sole and, with the help of a fabric or a soft toothbrush, rub it into the pollution area until it is completely cleansed. At the end, wipe with a damp sponge or fabric. To remove the remains of soap and polish with a dry flannel cloth.

Special pencil from Nagar

Pencil for cleaning the sole of the iron is available in almost any household store and effectively eliminates the carpet. To use it, you should heat the iron and slowly apply the cleaning product of the pencil to the contaminated surface, avoiding its cringing.

The risk of highlighting the poisonous vapors of the cleaning substance when heated and cleaned only in a respirator or a home-made cotton-gauze bandage should be taken into account. If possible, the premises should be provided during the procedure and after its completion.

Hydrogen peroxide

With a crocching of an ironing surface, yellow and dirt cope with hydrogen peroxide well. To do this, soak a clean cotton rag in a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and rub the place of contamination from the cold sole.

Hydroperitis

The connection of hydrogen peroxide with urea is indispensable for removing a chipped carbon fiber. The tool can be purchased at the pharmacy. To use the hydraetite tablets, cut on a sheet of paper, heat the iron and put the sole on the resulting crumb. Under the influence of temperature, the product will begin to dissolve and foam the carpet, highlighting toxic pairs at this moment. Therefore, as in the case of a cleaning pencil, you should take care of the protection of the respiratory tract and ventilate the room. Remove the remaining dirt with a damp cloth, and then polished with a dry flannel.

Vinegar, ammonia and lemon

A well.known property of acetic acid to fight a scale. you can use to clean the metal sole of the iron, including the steam ironing device. To do this, you can pour a couple of tablespoons of table vinegar into a suitable bowl and add boiling water, so that the level of solution is not higher than one and a half centimeters.

Then place the iron disconnected from the network in the solution and wait for the water complete cooling. After that you should wipe the surface and leave until completely dry. You can moisten a clean napkin or a soft sponge to wipe the heating surface in the same solution. You can iron the fabric moistened in vinegar solution at a minimum temperature. The clean surface must be wiped with a soft cloth. In the same way, you can use ammonia, lemon juice and their mixture in a proportion of one to one.

How to avoid a carbon fabric when ironing

To exclude possible troubles in the process of ironing clothes, things must be clean, the temperature regime corresponds to the material so as not to allow it to burn.

If there are a lot of clothes, it is sorted depending on the type of fabric.

Begin to iron with delicate products requiring a lower temperature. It is recommended to iron dark.colored things to prevent the appearance of brilliant traces. Glasting rules for various fabrics:

  • cotton, flax is easier to iron wet, these fabrics can be pre.sprinkled with water;
  • Silk products are best stroked with unimportant, inside out, if it is impossible, through a cotton fabric from the front side (artificial silk is ironed with dry);
  • The wool is turned inside out, ironed at low temperatures;
  • Synthetics, other artificial fibers can be fused, they should be ironed at moderate temperature.

Each material is special, has many nuances. But subject to step.by.step recommendations, any thing will last as long as possible and will minimize the need to clean.

Instructions for cleaning the iron from the scale from the inside

The reason for the formation of scale is hard water. Most of the population live in a zone with increased hardness of water. Modern models of irons are not safe from the appearance of scale.

Scale. strict deposits formed when the device is heated as a result of a chemical reaction. The channels in the sole of the iron are gradually clogged, along which steam acts. Over time, the device becomes unusable.

Everything happens imperceptibly. When dirty water from the sole begins to flow out, the supply of steam worsens, it becomes clear that something happened to the iron.

Vinegar

You can clean the steam iron from a strong scale inside using vinegar using vinegar. Mix water with vinegar equally, fill the water container. Holding an iron above the surface of the sink, we begin to produce any capacity with a steam stroke button. We carry out the procedure until the water with pollution and the scope ceases to flow out of the holes of the sole.

With strong clogging of the sole, it is recommended to pour a vinegar solution into each hole without a needle with a syringe without a needle. Heat the device to high temperature and evaporate the scale from the inside in the same way. After all the manipulations, we clean the sole, wipe with a towel dry.

Do not make an acidic solution strongly concentrated, there is a risk of damaging the internal details of the iron. Do not pull the fork from an electric outlet, the temperature regime will fall, the efficiency from the procedure will decrease.

Lemon acid

Easily cope with lime deposits. Dilute a package of citric acid into 200 ml of warm water and pour into the neck of the tank. Bring the temperature of the iron to the maximum. We release steam over the pelvis, sink using a button until all the pollution comes out from the inside. Be prepared for the fact that the smell will be unpleasant. After the procedure, rinse the tank inside the running water. Peel the sole from contaminants, then wipe it with microfiber material.

Mineral water

Mineral water will help to clean the iron from strong scale at home. Suitable for combating solid lime deposits. The cleansing procedure is similar. Fill the inner bowl with mineral water, heat the iron to high temperature. We release steam with pollution above the bucket or pelvis. Repeat the process 2 times. Rinse the residues with clean running water, treat the sole with a delicate flannel cloth.

Taking care of the iron is better in the complex. We clean from scale inside, outside from soil on the sole. Without removing the soil, there is a chance to spoil the clothes that we are stroked. It is good to remove pollution with a mixture of soda, vinegar, water. Mix the ingredients and bring to the consistency of a soft pasta. Well the iron, apply a layer of pasta, wipe with a flannel. Some manufacturers recommend using natural wool in the care of the sole.

Features of purification of various elements of the iron

The technological process does not stand still, household appliances are constantly being improved. In the latest Braun, Bosh, Tefal models, manufacturers allow the use of tap water. Thanks to the powerful function “Self.cleaning” /”SeifCltan” /, the scale is removed by the iron on its own. How and after how long to carry out the procedure, described in detail in the instructions.

Easy Teeth Whitening at Home

Protective valve and anti.known rod

Inside the device there is a damper/valve/rod that destroys the calcination process. It must be carefully and regularly cleaned, otherwise the vaporization process is reduced to zero. Usually housewives use the function of self.cleaning once a month.

  • Free the tank from water before the purification starts.
  • Remove the steam trunk from the device housing, pulling up.
  • Do not touch your fingers to the bottom of the rod.
  • Place it in a acetic solution or in citric acid by thirty.minute.
  • Wipe the remaining grains of sediment, rinse the rod in running water.
  • Insert the rod back.
  • Heating device without a steam generator is prohibited to operate.

Steam chamber

Laemers, dust and other pollutions are recommended from steam chamber once every 2-3 months. Its cleansing occurs due to a powerful discharge of steam. This method is quite dangerous, you can be injured by steam, hot water. be careful.

  • Fill in the inner container with water and heat the iron.
  • Disconnect from energy.
  • Put the maximum steam supply function.
  • Keep over the basin, bucket and serve steam. Sediment, dirty water will come out through the holes in the sole.
  • Wait until. Peel the sole of pollution.
  • Pour the container again, warm up the iron and press the button with the function of additional steam feeding several times.

Steam generators equipped with scale filters

Thanks to the purification of tap water using the built.in filter, the period of operation of the iron increases several times. It is desirable to clean filters once a month. You can do this yourself by preparing a special solution at home. Mix water and liquid to remove scrap, rinse the filter thoroughly, you can brush. Rush in running water. Special liquid is sold in household appliances stores.

During operation, manufacturers strongly recommend using a mixture of tap water and distilled. But one distilated water cannot be filled, it can boil. You should not add vinegar, citric acid, fresheners, steam. the device will fail.

Using citric acid

In this way, electrical teapots are most often cleaned of scale. But it is great for cleaning the steam system of ironing.

You will need very little: a bag of citric acid (usually 25 grams in it). You will need to dissolve it in one glass of warm water. Take your time: the powder should dissolve to the end.

Take our cup with dissolved citric acid and pour the solution into the water tank. The tank must be filled to the Max mark. If there was not enough liquid, share boiling water to the tank.

Now proceed to the next step. Turn on the iron on the network and let it warm up. Put the temperature to the maximum. As soon as it heats up, the light will go out. Meanwhile, prepare a pelvis, a large pan or any suitable container.

Take your iron, turn on the network and wait until it heats up. Keep it so that the sole of the device is located parallel to the capacity. Now, using the button, release steam from the iron. Click alternately for the release of steam, for water production. Do such manipulations until you completely clean the holes. Dirty water will drip into the basin.

Our task is to evaporate all the water! Do not be afraid that dirty yellow foam will come out of the nozzles-this is normal, along with foam, all the dirt comes out.

As soon as you realize that you cleaned the nozzle of the iron well, pull the cord out of the outlet. Pour simple water into the flask. Shock the device over the basin well. Then turn on the network again and let it warm about three minutes. Release steam with clean water in a basin. This is necessary to finally clean our device from a burnt scale and lime.

And now, finally, we move on to the final stage: the sole of the iron and the holes on it carefully wipe it with a cloth. Choose the best cotton (a pie can be moistened in 3%hydrogen peroxide. The scale was removed, you can use.

You can clean the iron inside with mineral water. To do this, pour it into the compartment, heat the device and release steam several times. Only in the case of a strong scale, this method will not help.

Look at the video how this not fast process is happening:

And below the second video from this housewife, which shows that the first method is able not to clear everything.

In the second video, readers advise the hostess to remove the regulator (valve) for the supply of steam, turning it right and left, in which the water will pour stream from the sole of your iron. It remains only to shake the device with a full tank of water above the basin well.

Watch Read more on the video. We recommend these two ways to apply one after another:

Using vinegar 9%

The technique is similar to the one we talked above. Only in this case we take vinegar. He must be nine percent.

  • We make vinegar in water. The proportions are equal: that is, how much you took vinegar, take the same amount and water.
  • Now this solution needs to be poured into the water compartment for water. Just do not need to pour to the edges, one third is enough. Turn on the iron. Remember that you need to put it in a vertical position.
  • Wait a little more than ten minutes. And then do it, as in the case of citric acid (press a button for serving steam several times). You need to do this until you see that the water has become clean.
  • Then, gently drain the liquid and again you need to pour clean. Then act similarly: release steam again. Drain and wipe it thoroughly. Cleaning the iron from the scale is over.

If your holes are clogged very much from the inside and do not clean it in any way, besides, there are no steam, with the help of a syringe without a needle you need to pour a vinegar solution into them and wait 10 minutes. Then act according to the above plan.

Council from the reader (do with caution):

With severe contamination, you can evaporate the scale. Pour the diluted agent from the scale (or water with vinegar) into the iron or heat-resistant baking sheet, it is advisable to put 2 wooden sticks-spaces (for sushi, for example) on which you need to put an iron to be a gap between the bottom and the iron on the bottom of the baking sheet.

Water should not reach plastic (plunge only the iron sole of the iron into the water). Bring the water in the tray to a boil. Leave it for 10 minutes to boil with the iron. Do not turn on the iron! When the liquid in the tray becomes dirty, drain it and pour a new solution, repeat boiling. The water will be much cleaner.

After the procedure, pour clean water into the iron tank, rinse and pour. Leave it for a couple of hours at rest, then you can turn it on and iron.

In the photo you can see how much dirt comes out of the iron with this method of cleaning.
