That is the biggest disadvantage of bulk thermopots, and therefore I will not take one. better to have two small appliances, but with constant access to boiling water.

    While I’m on the subject of power consumption, I can’t say that I’ve used a thermopot for years and still haven’t seen a difference in my electric bill. The consumption is so low that it is not noticeable in comparison with the usual amount. Yes, to connect the thermopot with an extension cord, I used a surge protector, just in case.

    The display is large and informative. The main thing we really liked was that it shows the real-time temperature of the water in both tanks.     Electric kettles have long entered our lives and have become an indispensable “attribute” in almost every kitchen. Thermostatic kettles became widespread not so long ago, but they also managed to find their own niche (though not as big as the electric kettles) in the list of kitchen appliances.

    So what is better: a kettle or a thermopot? And here, just here, there is no unambiguous answer for all. The question of choice is decided individually for each family. The criteria for choice can be economy, usability, safety and “lifestyle” of the family. So I will write only about our approach to choosing a kitchen device for boiling water. Further in the article there will be not only arguments but also numbers.

    For the last couple of years the kettle Elenberg has been working faithfully in our kitchen.     If pouring boiling water into a container from a thermopot is safer than from a kettle (I mean getting burns from accidental contact with hot water on the skin), then in terms of electrical safety the kettle, of course, wins. After all, when everyone is out of the house, the thermopot remains plugged in and operates to maintain the temperature of the water. Given the possible power surges or the probability (albeit very small) of a short circuit or failure of an electrical device, there is cause for concern (albeit somewhere far away in the back of your mind).

    Despite the fact that both the purchase and operation of a thermopot, compared to an electric kettle, is more expensive, we decided that in our case the thermopot won due to the ease of use and availability of hot water “here and now” during the whole day.
