Nozzles for gas stoves
Modern gas stoves work, as a rule, on mains (natural) gas and on liquefied gas, t.е. Gas burner. No matter what kind of gas your stove runs on, you need quality nozzles for its normal, full functioning.
Nozzle is a very important part of your gas appliance, without which it is impossible to get gas into the burner, t.е. impossible and the very work of the gas stove, gas water heater Neva or imported, as well as the gas boiler.
Nozzles are made in the form of a small bolt, with a hole in the middle at the top. It is through this hole gas enters the burner, mixed with air and when igniting the air-gas mixture forms a flame on which the food will be cooked.
How to convert gas hob from natural gas to LPG.
Gas stove nozzles differ in their function:
How do you know if your stove jets are working properly?
If you don’t hear a popping noise when you light the burner, if the flame doesn’t go out, and if you don’t see yellowish spots or red tangles in the flame, then you can rest assured. If you still hear a pop when igniting the air/gas mixture and the flame suddenly goes out from time to time, if you smell soot in the kitchen, then it’s time to replace your jig.
When a burner gas injector needs to be replaced ?
Imagine that in the summer you go to the cottage, taking with you everything you need for a normal life away from the city, including a gas stove. But here’s the problem: the gas line does not enter your house and you have to use bottled gas.
Nozzles for different types of gas are very different, so replacing them in this case is a must. By the way, as for the hole located on the bolt, the diameters of these holes are different and their size depends on both the type of gas (cylinder gas jets have a narrower hole, t.к. The pressure of gas coming from a cylinder is higher than that of natural fuel), as well as from the power of the burners themselves.
Each burner has its own nozzle, and even the size of the burner is already possible to determine its capacity. The bigger and more powerful the burner, the more air and gas slurry it needs to work, so the bigger the burner, the wider the diameter of the hole of the nozzle.
Let me give you one example: if your gas stove works on natural fuel, and this is usually NG G 20 gas (t.e 20 mBar), the smallest burner will require the work of jigger with a hole of 0.75 mm, the average burner. 0.92 mm. and the largest. 1.15 mm. A powerful oven burner will work smoothly and without problems if a nozzle with a hole diameter of 1.20 mm is attached to it.
When using liquefied gas, as I said, you need jets with a narrower hole diameter. Most often, conscientious manufacturers of gas stoves, sell their goods with a set of jets for different types of fuel, but if in your case did not happen, you have to buy this set yourself, the more so that they are sold in many stores building materials.
There have been cases when the owners of gas stoves tried to change the diameter of the hole in the appliance themselves, to rivet the hole in the nozzle, but to do this categorically impossible. The slightest mistake in the calculations, and the gas will inevitably accumulate under the burner, which one day could lead to incredible consequences.
How much do jets cost and where to buy them?
For those who would like to save money on their own safety, I want to give you an approximate level of cost of jigglers for gas stoves of different brands. If your home has a stove or water heater brand Ariston or Indesit, working on liquefied gas, the nozzle for such a stove will cost you 200 (for a single set or set).
For a Zanussi stove working on natural gas, such a set will cost 230. Set of jigglers for Byelorussian stoves Gefest. 150, but for a set of stoves Gorenje, you have to pay about 700.
Find jets (nozzles) on sale, you can often in specialized stores that sell gas equipment, gas hoses and spare parts for gas stoves. If they are not available, you can order directly from the manufacturer. Do not forget that the same devices do not fit to domestic Russian-made and imported products, and be sure to take this into account when buying them.
Nozzles replacement with your own hands
So, you have made a choice, the only thing that remains is the process of changing the nozzles. Here, of course, I would advise you to seek help from a specialist, but, knowing that our people prefer any wizard to their own hands, I say that this case is not complicated at all. You just need to strictly observe the safety requirements necessary when working with gas appliances.
Therefore, we begin by replacing the nozzles by blocking the gas pipe. Then we remove the burners, stove table lid, and begin to unscrew the old with an Allen wrench, and immediately in their place screw in the new. As you can see, there is nothing complicated. If you decide to change the devices in the oven, first remove the burners. the upper and lower and continue the work in the same scenario as when replacing the jets in the gas stove. See video.
Replacement of nipples for gas stoves for bottled gas
Jacks for gas stoves Modern gas stoves usually run on mains (natural) gas and on liquefied gas, i.e.е. cylinder. No matter what kind of gas your stove runs on, you need quality nozzles for it to function properly, fully.
Nozzle is a very important part of your gas appliance, without which it is impossible to get gas into the burner, t.е. The very work of the gas stove, gas boiler Neva or imported gas appliances, as well as the gas boiler is not possible.
Nitrators (nozzles) are made in the form of a small bolt, the top of which has a hole in the middle. It is through this hole that gas enters the burner, mixes with air and when this air-gas mixture is ignited, a flame is created, on which the food will be cooked.

Despite the abundance of high-tech household stoves today, most housewives in their kitchens prefer to see a gas stove tested for years. Almost 200 years of perfectly proven technology pleases people with trouble-free work. Therefore, when equipping a kitchen space in a country house, many people opt for the usual gas appliances instead of electric. However, when switching to cylinder gas gas nozzles change gas stoves.
What are the nozzles (nozzles) in the gas stove for?
Since different types of gas have their own combustion process, the connection of the gas stove to the propane cylinder and gas line must be carried out with properly selected nozzles.
If the stove is set for liquefied gas from a cylinder, the holes in the nozzles should have a smaller diameter than similar for natural gas. This is due to the difference in pressures:
Considering the difference in diameters, it should also be noted that regardless of the type of gas used small and large burner stove respectively will have a smaller and larger diameter nozzle holes.
Nozzles for gas stoves for bottled gas Gefest. Why we do this?
Nozzles for gas stoves for bottled gas Gefest. Why we do it this way? For the proper performance of the task of translating a gas stove Gefest on liquid (bottled) gas we find it necessary to give our customers a certain report or further justification for our actions in terms of working with the proposed set of jets (nozzles) in the store for liquid gas. This information applies only to Gefest. Posted on 25.04.2016 г.
Induction Vs Gas. Which is better?
Let’s turn to the certificate (one of the latest versions of the passport), which is attached to the gas stove Gefest and start reading it. Let us note at once that the kit offered by the factory to convert a gas stove to liquefied gas is universal for all types of stoves produced by Gefest. There is a usual standard version of the set of jigglers for liquefied gas Gefest, but the final variant that we offer in our store is “brought to mind” taking into account the experience of working with Gefest and already tested by many of our customers. Below is a photo of that page of the passport of a Gefest stove, which indicates the factory recommended. very IMPORTANT is the word “recommended” diameters of nozzles that should be used in the burners of the stove table, the oven and the grill (if the stove is equipped with one) when connecting the stove to 30 mbar cylinder gas. So why is the word “recommended” diameters so important? For the simple reason that the stove also works with refractory nozzles for natural gas without replacing the latter. The gas mixture just goes so rich that the stove starts to smoke a lot. The stove spoils itself and terribly spoils the cookware used. In this case, it turns out that we operate the stove without following the factory recommendations. By the way, many people have no idea that it is necessary to replace the nozzles for natural gas. It’s no big deal.
Analysis of the passport with the diameters. So. Firstly, let’s answer the question “Why is the set of jigglers supplied by the factory for liquefied gas universal for all Gefest stoves??”
The leftmost column in the table lists the burner types. Burners of the hob table: Quick Burner. large, Semi-quick burner. middle, auxiliary. the small one. These three types of table burners in Gefest stoves exist in four versions: Gefest, Sabaf, Gefest 5 and Somipress. Two of these four versions are of imported origin. At the top of the table, in the table header, we see the two possible pressures of natural gas supplied to the stove, 13 and 20 mbar. And right 30 mbar pressure, liquefied gas. This is the column that will be of interest for us next. But first, the answer to the question posed. As we all know theory is different from practice. And it is clear that, for example, when working with natural gas, the large burner of the Gefest type burner works on a jig 144, and the same in the version Gefest 5 on a jig with a diameter of 149. This is at 13 mbar. And at a pressure of 20 mbar these jets see table 126 and 131 respectively. Now imagine a stove salesman who says “You need a stove to work at what gas pressure?”And if the pressure is not 20 mbar? And what kind of. we do not know? Or, when a sudden drop in cold weather gas consumption increases rapidly and the pressure drops even to 65 mbar, or even lower. How do we do it?? Therefore, the passport is good, but in practice it is not so. What is written in the data sheet in practice is impossible to implement, and do not need. Since the difference in nozzles, the diameters of which, in hundredths of a millimeter are specified as 92, and we use 95, no instrument will be able to notice. Why? Yes because at the moment of such measurement and the pressure of supplied gas in second intervals varies. As a result, we understand what the data sheet recommends, but there is still an error even with the most accurate recommendations. Therefore, the factory can not make 350 variants (at least) of jets for liquid and natural gas for every stove, and even guarantee their work only at the required pressure. The answer, I think, is clear. And who is not satisfied with this answer, add the quality of the feed gas mixture in calories to the error, and the answer will satisfy you.
Selection of nozzles for bottle gas, taking into account the recommendations of the passport. So. We start with the large table burner. See the column to the right, where the diameter of the nozzles for liquid gas is indicated. With the red arrow we mark the column, and in the white box the diameter of the nozzle that we use. Replace jets 92 and 96 with jets 95 microns. Here are specific excerpts from the data sheet for your reference. Large burner. 95 microns
Main oven burner. Here we have a moment. You see, in the left half of the table, we have shown by arrows that in the data sheet of the stove there is a division, where the nozzles for the main burner of the oven are different for stoves of 50 cm and 60 cm wide. This need is dictated, firstly, by the different capacity of Gefest stoves of different widths and, correspondingly, by the different power (by less than 10%) of the main burner of the oven. Few people know this, or simply do not pay attention to it. Therefore, the jigger kits for cylinder gas are not fully universal and can be installed on all Gefest stoves without exception. They are clearly differentiated for different Gefest stoves by the width of the stove (50 cm or 60 cm) and the source of this division is the factory certificate Gefest. where we can clearly see the difference between the jets for the oven in different stove widths and different oven volumes. Main oven burner for 50 cm wide oven. Setting the jigger 85 microns The main oven burner for a 60 cm wide stove. set the nozzle at 95 microns
Grill burner. 75 microns. For the grill burner the data sheet always recommends only one nozzle. This is a 75 μm diameter nozzle. It is given by us. Since the grill burner is located on the “ceiling of the oven” and feeds the flame in the oven as if from top to bottom, t.е. In fact it creates the effect of open flame, the use of jigglers of larger diameter on the grill burner is not recommended by the factory, in order to comply with the hygienic rules of cooking in the oven on an open fire.
What is it
The principle of operation of the gas stove has a certain algorithm. Pressurized gas is fed into the system of gas pipes, which are part of the stove. When you open the shut-off valve located on the front panel, the blue fuel moves towards the point of combustion. In this section, depending on the design of the particular model, gas is mixed with air, which ensures optimum conditions for ignition. At the end point, flame spreaders are installed, allowing it to burn steadily.
Gaseous fuel can be supplied through the network gas pipeline or liquefied in special cylinders. In most cases the mains gas and the liquefied gas are one and the same substance. However, the way in which they are delivered to the end user affects the properties of combustion and the conditions under which the latter becomes possible.
Gas stove burners are replaceable parts of the stove burner. Their main function. supply to the point of combustion of fuel in the required volume at the appropriate pressure. Nozzles are equipped with a passage hole, the diameter of which determines the parameters of the “jet” of gas. The size of the hole in each particular type of nozzles is designed for a certain pressure in the gas pipeline system. The characteristics of the latter differ significantly depending on the method of delivery and the type of fuel. natural or liquefied (propane).
Types of nozzles
All modern gas stoves can operate on natural gas or mains, as well as on a removable cylinder holding liquefied gas. When propane is used. it is necessary to change not only the nozzles on the stove, but also the reducer.
Nozzles are made as a small screw with a thread and a hole in the head. through it the gas is fed to the burner of the stove. Then it is mixed with air in the burner, this mixture is ignited, an open flame is formed, on which the cooking is carried out. Learn more about how a gas stove is designed and works here.
Nozzles are available in two types: for natural gas, the hole is slightly larger in diameter and the part itself is shorter and different visually; for liquefied gas, bolts with longer threads are made.
If you need to replace one such part on the gas stove, when it does not work quite correctly, then experts advise to change the entire set at once. you never know when you will fail the next.
This is what the nozzles look like. the complete set for a Gefest gas stove:
Gas stove without nozzles
Most gas stoves are capable of running on both natural and liquefied gas. For this purpose the manufacturer supplies the devices with two kinds of jets. Normal appliances are originally configured to be connected to the gas mains. To convert it for bottled gas, you have to change the nozzles. If this is not done, the stove will not work properly, which is dangerous for users.
From the central gas supply system in the kitchen, natural gas, usually NG G20, is fed into the appliance at 20 mbar. For cylinders use liquefied gas, the most common is LPG G30. It enters the device at a pressure of 50 mbar. The combustion of the gas-air mixtures is not identical because of differences in composition and pressure. To even out the flame and prevent the appearance of soot in the burners set jets of certain sizes.
The nozzle is usually made of bronze or brass. It looks like a bolt with a thread, but only with an inner hole through which the fuel. The higher the pressure, the more gas goes through it. On the end of the nozzle are stamped numbers that indicate the diameter of the hole in hundredths of a millimeter. For example, 75 means that the hole diameter is 0.75 mm and 115 means 1.15 mm.
The size of the hole depends on the type of gas and burner power. Since the pressures of liquefied and natural gas are not the same, different sets of nozzles have been developed for them. For cylinder gas jets with smaller diameter are used, as its pressure is higher than that of natural gas.
Each burner (small, medium, large, oven) has its own nozzle, which corresponds to the number defined by the manufacturer. The smaller the burner, the lower its output. It requires less gas-air mixture for its operation, which means that the diameter of the hole should be small.
Reference. Jets can vary in shape, configuration and external thread diameter from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Nozzles are replaced if it is necessary to switch the gas stove from natural gas to liquefied gas and vice versa. But this is not the only reason. The nozzles are replaced if:
- The fuel burns unevenly and the stove smokes during operation;
- The flame hisses and comes off the burner;
- The color of the flame is not blue, but yellow-white with red flashes.
These signs tell you that the nozzles in the gas stove are the wrong type. When the technique does not work properly, it is recommended to replace not just one nozzle, but the entire set. This is even necessary if you convert to bottled gas.
The differences between the nozzles for natural gas and those for cylinder gas are as follows:
Manufacturers usually provide household appliances with two types of nozzles. But if they are not available or the device was purchased a long time ago, nozzles can be purchased in a store or ordered on the website of the manufacturer.
Before purchasing, determine what hole diameter is needed. It is important to choose nozzles for bottled gas or natural gas responsibly, because it affects the safety of users. When the gas flows out of the nozzle in a curved manner, part of it accumulates under the cooktop. This can cause an explosion. In the data sheet to the household appliance there is information about the jets for the central gas supply and the gas cylinder. If it has been lost, you can find it on the Internet, specifying the brand of the device.
It is not recommended to resize the nozzles yourself (try to re-drill or reduce them). It is dangerous.
The ratio of hole diameters (in mm) for different types of fuel are given in the table.
